'Cabbage water' tastes better than Brit cuppa!

London, Mar 27 : Tea may be Britain's top beverage but the drink's connoisseurs believe that Britons put up with the worst tea in the world.
The most economical brands, especially the ones available in supermarkets, are nothing but dust packed in the form of tea bags, according to experts.
The experts also think that the drink is made better with the milk added to it.
The experts specifically refer to brands from stores like Tesco and Asda, where 80 tea bags cost a paltry 29 pence.
Supermarket Own Brand Guide author Martin Isark criticised Asda Smartprice tea by saying that even cabbage water would taste better than the beverage.
He added that even a penny would be too much to pay for the drink
"Cabbage water tastes better. Even 29p is outrageous - 1p would be too much," the Sun quoted Isark, as saying.
Isark also said that dust and powder cannot give the taste of tea, and that bad quality tea is a dupe at even lower costs.
"It is dust and powder which cannot deliver anything that resembles the taste of tea. Without milk, the bitter dusty taste is undrinkable.
It is just the waste from the tea process. Poor quality tea is a rip-off at any price," he added.
Many experts believe that people should treat tea like wine, paying more for improved quality and understanding the varied flavours.
Jane Pettigrew, author of The Tea Companion and Tea Aficionado, said that better quality of tea should be made available.
"We need to get better quality tea into more teabags," she said.
