Storms wash away people in Vietnam
Britain News.Net Thursday 20th November, 2008
Nine people, including three children, have been killed in heavy rains during a storm in central Vietnam.
While the flood levels have peaked, disaster reports from the provinces are still coming in.
So far six central provinces, hit by the storm, have assessed the damage at more than 5,000 hectares of rice paddy.
Several hundred families in Binh Dinh province were forced to flee their homes because of floods, while landslides from heavy rains had blocked traffic in mountainous areas in Quang Ngai province.
