Britney's fan spent £10K and 10yrs idolising her

London, Jul 3 : 'Toxic' singer Britney Spears, 27, has a British fan who has spent 10,000 pounds and 10 years of his life doting on her.

Matthew Blyth, 20, a part-time sales assistant, doles out more than 90 per cent of his wages on the singer's merchandise.

He spends 400 pounds of his 475 pounds monthly salary on Britney's DVDs, posters, CDs, and costumes.

Gay Blyth claims that he has an "emotional connection" with Britney, and even has a shrine to her in his bedroom in Kettering, Northants.

"I have followed her every move - and I cried when she shaved her head. I would do anything to meet her," the Sun quoted him as saying.

Blyth, who performs 'One More Time' with a Britney tribute act, appears in a BBC3 documentary titled 'Britney Spears Saved My Life', which airs on July 5.
