Nahyan bin Mubarak meets Indian Ambassador

ABU DHABI, 26th January, 2022 (WAM) -- Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, received Sunjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to the UAE.

During the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan welcomed Sudhir, and both sides discussed the cooperation between the UAE and India and ways of reinforcing them in all areas, in addition to several regional and international issues of mutual concern.

He also stressed the UAE and India have historic relations that are growing stronger, due to the support of their leaderships. India's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is a valuable addition to the most important cultural event that showcases innovation and achievements in all areas.

He then noted the Indian pavilion is showcasing a modern and advanced country in a variety of areas, including in the areas of technology, art and culture.

Sudhir highlighted his country's keenness to enhance its overall cooperation with the UAE and strengthen their solid partnership to help achieve sustainable development.

He also lauded the successful organisation of Expo 2020 Dubai, which is gathering 192 countries to encourage international cooperation and propose innovative solutions to common global challenges.

He then congratulated the UAE's leadership, government and people on the success of the major event, which aims to achieve the global objectives for the future based on the country's belief in promoting peace, tolerance and coexistence.
